Cycling – Weser-Harz-Heide Cycle Route

Where the Rivers Werra and Fulda touch ... is not only the source of the Weser. This is also the beginning of a fascinating new cycle route. The Weser-Harz-Heide Cycle Route connects a varied assortment of areas of outstanding natural beauty and unforgettable outdoors experiences along its four hundred-kilometre length from Hannoversch Münden in the southern Weserbergland region to Lüneburg. The tour will guide you from rushing rivers through the forests of the northern German low mountain range to the sweeping heathlands in all their postcard-picturesque beauty. You will find ancient university cities and medieval villages as well as lambs, lynxes and otters in their natural habitats or a varied cultural programme along the way.

Aller Cycle Route through the Gifhorn Südheide heathlands

The 30-kilometre Aller Cycle Route leads from Celle through the Gifhorn Südheide and towns such as Müden (Aller), Wilsche, and Gifhorn with its nationally acclaimed open-air mill museum, to Wolfsburg, the home of Volkswagen.
